IBS: A Global Perspective
Dr. Mary-Joan Gerson was an invited faculty member at
“Irritable Bowel Syndrome: A Global Perspective,” an international conference sponsored by the
World Gastroenterological Organization and the
Rome Foundation and which took place on April 7, 2011, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She discussed the challenge of cross-cultural research from a collaborative methodological perspective and highighted foci for future global investigation, such as gender, socio-political, and migration issues.
